Clara obtains, records, and honors SMS consent at every touchpoint. Opt-out keywords (STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE) are handled instantly and persisted — no re-enrollment without explicit tenant action.

Fair Housing Act

Every leasing conversation is evaluated against FHA guardrails before delivery. Clara will not produce language that steers, discourages, or creates disparate treatment across protected classes.

Audit trail

Full message history — including tool calls, vendor dispatches, and escalation events — is retained per conversation. Property managers can review every action Clara took and why.

Human-in-the-loop

Any conversation flagged as sensitive, ambiguous, or outside Clara's confidence threshold is escalated to a property manager before a response is sent. Clara does not guess on compliance edge cases.

Tenant PII and conversation history stored in AWS us-east-1. No cross-region replication without explicit customer opt-in.

Encryption at rest and in transit

All data encrypted with AES-256 at rest. TLS 1.2+ enforced for all API and webhook traffic.

Role-based access

Property-scoped permissions ensure regional managers, leasing agents, and maintenance coordinators only see data for their assigned portfolio.

Webhook validation

All inbound webhooks (Twilio, ElevenLabs, SendGrid) are validated via HMAC signatures before processing. Replays and spoofed payloads are rejected.
